The simple fact is that this child would still be alive and well, if the parents had simply sought treatment from a doctor. The issue is in Western society, we view our form of medicine as 'superior' in a way to what we deem as 'alternative' forms of medicine. We must realize that even though we hold the notion of medicine in the western sense to be somewhat superior to other forms, everyone has different concepts of treatments and we must recognize that in terms of their moral and conceptual beliefs.
