Brett Favre Goes to McDonald’s

Brett Favre Goes to McDonald’s

At approximately 8:47 p.m. last Thursday night, new Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre went to a local McDonald’s restaurant in Minneapolis, Minnesota. A Vikings spokesperson confirmed the event took place.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Favre was hungry at 8:23 p.m. Schefter then said that Favre then got in his Chevy Silverado along with his wife Deanna and daughters Brittany and Breleigh and then started driving to the nearest McDonald’s. However, ESPN’s Ed Werder reported that before going to McDonald’s, he had to make a stop at his local gas station, as “the needle was really close to the E”around 8:36 p.m. Favre filled up his truck with gas and came out with two Gatorades as well, one a Frost Glacier Freeze and one a Lemon-lime.

Favre arrived at the restaurant at 8:46 p.m. When in the restaurant, Brittany, Breleigh, and Deanna all ordered before the quarterback. When waiting in line, he made two phone calls. One was to his agent, James “Bus” Cook and the other was to star running back Adrian Peterson. He reportedly asked Peterson to join his family at McDonald’s. Peterson politely declined saying “I don’t really like that place all that much. I’m more of a Burger King guy, but thanks for the offer.” Schefter then reported that he asked Cook what he should order. Cook told Favre that he should either order the Big Mac extra value meal or the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese extra value meal. Favre thanked him for the suggestions and then hung up his cell phone. When it was his turn to order, it was 8:51 p.m., and he was still unsure about his decision on what to order. Favre took his time and did many things to try to make the decision for him, such as flip a coin and guess the number behind the back of Deanna. Favre continued to take his time and began to anger all of the customers behind him in line. Favre eventually decided on the Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese extra value meal at approximately 10:07 p.m., an hour and sixteen minutes after Favre started thinking about what extra value meal was going to order. Werder then reported that Favre then went up to the counter and changed his mind and said that he wanted the Big Mac extra value meal instead. The employee at the counter initially was hesitant, but finally obliged at 10:24 p.m. The Favre’s ate for nearly a half an hour and then left the restaurant at 10:52 p.m.

More details will come on this monumental event once they become available.
